On May 4th, 29 Marian shooters trekked to Doniphan Nebraska for the 43rd annual Cornhusker Trapshoot. This year there were more than 2,000 competitors. Friday was the high school singles event. This event consisted of 100 16 yard targets. Singles Results The squad of Kelsey Genoways, Maddie Worth, Savannah Uden, Lori Nevole and Anna Vasko placed second in the ladies team competition. Kelsey Genoways tied for fourth place individual. Brianna Rakes and Haylee Frisbie had perfect rounds of 25 straight.
On Saturday the day consisted of 100 handicap targets with yardage between 18 and 25 yards depending on the first day scores. Handicap Results Squad Blue with Kelsey Genoways, Maddie Worth, Savannah Uden, Lori Nevole and Anna Vasko placed third in the ladies team handicap competition. Lori Nevole was the handicap champion Haylee Frisbie was 5th in Ladies Handicap. Savannah Uden was 9th in Ladies Handicap Lori Nevole and Anna Vasko had perfect rounds of 25 straight.   Overall Results Squad Blue with Kelsey Genoways, Maddie Worth, Savannah Uden, Lori Nevole and Anna Vasko placed 1st in the Overall Competition. They are the Nebraska Girls Team Champion. Nebraska State Champions Lori Nevole tied for second overall. Haylee Frisbie was 7th overall. Brianna Rakes was 15th overall.
